Bring a detector
Chromite does not behave like a visible ore vein. Equip the Metal Detector or keep Smokie active so buried nodes can surface.

Chromite is buried inside Feybreak caves. Reveal it with a Metal Detector or Smokie, then use these six cave signals to plan a repeatable run.

Watch the reveal-and-mine workflow before entering Feybreak: arrive with a detector, surface the buried deposit, then mine the marked node.
This is Feybreak-era footage. Use the current 1.0 detector level, coordinates, and recipe values written on this site.

The route overlay uses local Feybreak terrain and connects the six cave coordinates by proximity. Use the full marker layer afterward to adapt the order to your fast travel points.

Start with the complete Palpagos layer for all 257 Chromite markers, then switch to Sunreach or the World Tree for their separate 1.0 resources, landmarks, and encounters.

Node counts are reported per cave. Travel time is not estimated because terrain, mounts, server settings, and unlocked fast travel points change the result.
A short check, a first Chromite run, or a quick pass between other Feybreak tasks.
A longer dedicated mining session with enough carrying capacity and a clear storage plan.
Quick answers
Chromite is a buried Feybreak resource. The six curated cave entrances on this site each have four community-reported nodes. In the complete local map, open Resources and enable Chromite to explore all 257 reported locations.
The ore is hidden until you reveal it with an active Metal Detector or Smokie’s Dig, Dog! Dig! partner skill. Search inside the cave rather than expecting a normal surface vein at the entrance.
The map does not. Palpagos, Sunreach, and World Tree tiles, 10,558 mapped records, category icons, Pal portraits, fonts, and interface code are served by this site under permission provided to the project owner. Google Analytics loads separately for site traffic measurement.
Sunreach is shown as a focused sky-island view within the expanded Palpagos world layer. The World Tree uses a separate in-game coordinate projection, so it has its own map tab and tile set.
